7 Beautiful Sussex Country Houses

Choosing a Country House for your wedding is a perfect idea, as they are great in all weathers and can accommodate a large number of guests. Country Houses are also perfect for intimate weddings because the houses are full of charm and character. Sussex has many beautiful country houses, here are some of my favourites:

1. The Ravenswood

The Ravenswood is a beautiful 15th Century Manor House located in the gorgeous countryside of Sharpthorne, in the heart of Ashdown Forest. Ravenswood has a fantastic getting ready room, as well as a honeymoon suite and 33 bedrooms. In August 2019, I created this Birdcage inspired wedding cake for a lovely couple getting married at the Ravenswood. It was such a stunning wedding venue and the staff were so accommodating and friendly.

All of these Country Houses are simply beautiful! One of my favourite parts of being a wedding cake maker is getting to deliver wedding cakes to different wedding venues and getting to explore them! Every wedding venue is so unique and special in its own way!
